Join the Community!

Preparation for the Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale starts many months in advance, but the real fun happens during the 10 days prior to the Sale. During this time, an incredible transformation takes place at Woodward Middle School and it is all possible with the help of hundreds of volunteers — community members just like you!

Volunteer Open House

The Volunteer Open House will take place MONDAY, JUNE 1st from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Commons at Woodward Middle School (9125 Sportsman Club Road). This is a great chance to reconnect with old friends, get information about the departments, and get help registering on our website.

Types of Volunteer Work

  • Sales: There are over 35 sales departments where you can help to sort, organize, price, clean, and display donations.
  • Support: There are many support positions which require some skills: cashiering, lifting, and moving items.
  • Meals: Would you like to make hungry and thirsty volunteers happy? On most days leading up to Sale Day, we provide lunch and dinner. We need help serving meals, making coffee, monitoring water stations, and delivering snacks.
  • Students: Need to track and report your volunteer hours for school? You will be able to check in and out at the volunteer desk and see your hours in your online profile!
  • Green Team: Help us maximize reuse, reduction, and recycling during intake and sale day. Find out more on the Green Team page.
