Piece It Together
We gratefully accept donations of gently-used items that have anything to do with sewing, knitting and other needlework, such as:
Sewing
- Sewing machines and cabinets, including antique machines
- Patterns
- Sewing supplies
Fabrics
- 5-yard+ pieces
- Collections of smaller but similar weight pieces
- Pre-cuts, such as jelly rolls, layer cakes, or fat quarter bundles
- Large cuts of upholstery and drapery fabric (no samples, please)
- Battings and stuffing
Knitting and Crochet
- Knitting needle and crochet hook sets
- Yarn lots
- Hand-knitted items (especially natural fibers)
Quilting
- Antique quilts, finished or unfinished
- Quilting supplies
Weaving
- Looms: floor, table, tapestry, rigid heddle, knitting sets, etc.
- Weaving equipment (shuttles, sets of bobbins, etc.)
- Weaving yarn cones (lots of 16oz or more)
Spinning supplies
- Spinning wheels or spindles
- Spinning equipment (carders, combs, distaffs, etc.)
- Roving, fleece, or other fiber preparations (5 oz. or more)
Books on knitting, crochet, needlework, weaving, spinning, or other fiber arts
- Books about needlework, individual and sets
- Needlework magazines
- Books that have value as “collectibles”
Key information for Sale Day:
- Selected sewing machines are tested for function
- Larger pieces of fabrics sold individually
- Smaller pieces of fabrics are sold “all you can get in a bag”
- Selected items are sold on Silent-Auction Bid sheets
